Alright, she was doing what Jamie told her too. She left their litte hideout. She was walking around the docks looking for a ship with an open shot for a rag-tag little girl dressed like a little boy. Personally was wasn't to hopfull and was expecting to go back to the hideout after dark and eat whatever food Jamie had scrounged up for them. But that would be letting Jamie and the other's down, and she really didn't want to do that.
She stopped near a ship she had actually heard about. The White Hawk. She heard a few stroies about this ship and the one that struck her the most. It was Captined by a female. That was a big plus for little Freddy, stading here in her worn out clothes thsat were too big for her, no boots, no hat. Jamie had given her his knife, the olny knife anyone in the gang ever had. But that was her only weapon.
Still not feeling all that confident, Freddy brushed the wispy red-brown hair from her eyes and waited for someone to come out of the ship, or from the docks on to the ship. She could wait all day, it wasn't like she had anywhere else to go really. Not anymore

Jackie groaned and rubbed her eyes as she woke up slowly from her drunken sleep. She had a mighty headache and had stumbled onto the boat, sleeping where she feel which was on the dock, leaning against the side of her boat. She groaned again and angrily snorted when she saw someone stood on the dock looking at her ship. She raised a hand to her face and stared at it, making sure she wasn't seeing double and turned her blurred vision to the sky. Jackie had been up half the night, in Ol' Tom's. She had only ment to have a bit of rum but it never ended up that way. She got up slowly and made sure her short hair was still underneath her hat and her face was dirty enough to disguise herself. She walked slowly and drunkenlegged down to the dock. She was pretty much out of her drunken state, just on the hangover part. Her walk was still a bit swaying but then again, it always was. She walked up to the red head and asked slowly and carefully, "Watchya doin here?"

Freddy could have bolted right then, ran away and back to Jamie saying that nobody wanted a little kid on their ship. They probably would have believed it too and things would go back to the way they were and Freddy would have been happy. But again, she didn't want to let Jamie down. And besides, for all her thoughts of running and bolting, she could be brave if she needed to be.
But a person was coming down to the dock, swaying a bit, but that's how she always pictured pirates. Permanently semi-drunk and swaying. Freddy straighted herself up, trying to make herself taller. That didn't work as well as she hoped, just because she was so tiny.
"Watchya doin here?"
"I've come to join a pirate ship," she said confidently, though in reality her feet were quaking in her boots. Well they would be if she had boots, so she guessed they were just quaking. She kept her face blank and passive. She had just said what she was there for, now she could only wait for the reply.

Jackie squinted through her headache and tried to see if she could recognize the girl in front of her. She didn't. Jackie didn't want weak little girls on her ship, even if it was a bit hypocritical of her, most didn't know she was a girl.
Jackie hardened her gaze and said in a rather rough voice, "Well if ye want to join any pirate crew I would say the first rule is not to say ye want to join a pirate crew to an outright stranger." She grinned which showed she was joking a bit. Her smile disappeared as she got down to business, "What makes you think you can walk up and join me crew?"
