Hair Cut

Jackie entered the hairplace in Tortuga nervously. This was Tortuga after all. She shrugged, well most of the people around here had short jagged cuts. She was suprised however to see a anxious women standing and cutting someone's hair that didn't look that bad. She grinned and sauntered to the desk, acting rather drunk as usual. She was wearing her usual attire of worn leather boots and baggy pants. Her shirt was ruffled in the front and was a creamy color, which wasn't how she had bought it. The color was actually due to a layer of dirt that lay on it. Her jacket was swung over herself. It waved behind her as she walked in. The secretary eyed her sceptically before saying, "Hello what can we do for you."

She was obviously expecting a slurred slow voice to start hitting on her, what she got was not that. Jackie said in a gruff low voice, actually not much lower than her own, her voice strong and clear, "Here for a haircut." The girl looked at her curiously but Jackie nodded to her and walked to the back where she couldn't see. Jackie sat down in a chair. The lady cutting her hair would have to know she supposed, but oh well. She stayed a little away from the mirror, out of eyesight of the man getting his hair cut who was craining his neck to see her. The lady finished and said, "You're all set." Then she walked over to Jackie.

"And you? Your name please?" Jackie started and glanced over her shoulder and said roughly before she could think, "Jack." Then she hesitated, "Er... actually Jackie." In a slightly higher voice. She pulled off her hat and shook her hair out. The lady raised her eyebrows but didn't comment. She said, "What type of cut?"
"Short."
The lady's eyebrows disappeared into her hair and she said, "Real short? Don't you want to um..." She sniffed as the glanced at Jackie's clothes, "Er... I guess not." She paused and then opened her mouth but seemed to think better of it, "Well I'm not cutting it to your scalp. I'll cut it a bit, and if you want you can still fix it up to look nice."
Jackie grunted but made no comment as the woman looked apalled at her version of an answer. Nonetheless, she began to brush out her hair. She had a disgusted look on her face as she commented, "Its needs washing."
Jackie made no comment as the lady turned her about and stuck her head under a hole well type thing. She poured water over her head and began to scrub. Once it was throughly scrubbed she began to cut as the doorbell clinked, showing someone had come in. Jackie grabbed a towel and threw it over her face. The lady gave a piercing look but didn't remove it as someone closed the door.

Tyrus stepped into the hiarplace. He wasn't looking for a haircut, but instead he wished to get his hair dyed a reddish color, which he believed would make him look even more fanatical and fierce than his normally black hair. He walked over to the desk, where a sectretary told him to sit in the second to last chair to the back. He walked over, sitting down. To his left, there was a rather obese woman getting her hair curled. To his left, there was a person sitting, but he could not discern the gender.

This person had a towel over his or her face, but they seemed to be wearing men's clothes. Tyrus was baffled by this outfit. 'Oh well,' he thought. 'I'll find out sooner or later, it takes a long time to dye hair red'

Jackie turned her head slightly to see who it was in the chair next to her. She sighed a sigh of relief and threw the towel off her face. She relaxed in the chair as the woman who was cutting her hair said, "Finished." Jackie twirled her chair about. It was rather short and didn't look that bad. Actually it looked kinda pretty. It was about ear length but was swept back a bit so she could fix it up to be a girl when she liked. Her bangs were swept to the side but could be fixed. She grinned at her reflection. Then she thanked the woman and began to fix it to a boys cut. She straightened the bangs to hang down and covered her eyes at the very top, concealing her feminine eyelashes. She reached up and ran her hand through her hair and shook it. She now look completely like a boy, except for her softer features. She swept her hat on her head and grinned again.
